Easter

Since this is the first time Carter could understand Easter, we wanted to make a big deal out of it.  I read Carter the abbreviated version of the Easter story in his Jesus Storybook Bible and he was pretty interested.  He loves to talk about Jesus, even though he doesn't really know who He is yet.  All he knows is "Yes, Jesus Loves Me...The Bible tells me so" and he can point to things and say "God made it."  Oh and when we ask him to pray, he automatically puts his little hands together.  Sometimes he even reminds me to pray at dinner time.

We also read Barney's Easter Basket and Counting Chicks to show Carter about the other Easter things.  Tom, Kathie, and Oakley had an adorable party last year, so we invited them over this time.  Of course we had an egg hunt and dyed eggs.  You can't skip that.  On Sunday, we went to church and had a potluck and another egg hunt.  Macy looked adorable in her Easter dress that Brooke gave her.  Thank you Brooke!!  Holidays are so much fun with kids, especially now that one of them can understand what's going on.

  1. Y'all look great! You look too well-rested for this stage. : )

It's fun to see Macy in that dress! I remember buying it and hoping the size and season would work. She's even cuter than I imagined!

    Y'all take care!
