Little Miss Macy is 2 months old and cuter than ever. She is smiling and cooing a lot now, which makes things so fun. Her smile totally transforms her face. She is 11.15 lbs and 24 in. long now, compared to 6 lbs. 14 oz. at 20 in. at birth. At 8 weeks old, she started sleeping through the night consistently and that makes mommy very happy. I owe it all to the Baby Wise method, that book has served me well. I don't even follow the rules and it still worked for Carter and Macy. During the day, Macy takes naps every 3 hours. She prefers to sleep in the swing, which is a bad habit to break. She loves being held and being walked around. Loud screams and bouts of crying are not uncommon in this house. Macy gets what she wants and she won't stop until she does. I wouldn't call her sensitive, but she's definitely more needy than Carter was. It's good to be needed though. I love snuggling with my sweet girl.
I spent a lot of time worrying about Carter's adjustment to having a sister, because it seemed to be really rough for him. I'm relieved to tell you, he's doing so much better. He is so sweet to her now. He likes to hug and kiss her. I haven't seen him launch any toys in her direction recently. Macy even gives him smiles from time to time. Macy has wiggled her way into our hearts and our family is so much better with her.
